Charles and Camilla postpone wedding,
don't want to detract from funeral

Millions of grateful ChasCam fans

ChasCam, the nickname for the highly popular British pair who were to be wed on Friday, have told their worldwide legion of fans not to feel conflicted.

"We were inundated with emails from admirers who said they still planned to spectate at our wedding on Friday, but we feel it would be unfair of us to reduce the level of attention given to the other important event that day," ChasCam said in a statement to the press.

Charles and Camilla's civil wedding ceremony will take place on Saturday instead.

"This gives our millions of admirers ample opportunity to get to England," the pair said.

Charles will be in Rome on Friday as a representative of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, but he asked any fans who encounter him there to respect the occasion and pay more attention to the religious rites than to him.

"I know that will be difficult for my adulating supporters, but I want them to do it as a favor to me," Charles said.

Another factor contributing to the decision to delay the wedding, the prince said, was to make things easier for news photographers.

"I don't want to damage the excellent relationship I have with the press by making them decide which they would cover -- events in Rome or events in Windsor. This way, they can do both."

Charles said he has always made it easy for the media to find things to write about him, and he would like to continue that tradition.
